This brand new recording is the latest in the ever-popular Catholic Collection series. The Douai Abbey Singers and the Monks' Schola perform music drawn from throughout the Church's year – focusing on the vital seasons of Advent, Christmastide, Lent and Passiontide, and Easter.

The musical repertoire encompasses Latin chant, Renaissance polyphony and more recent compositions for Douai Abbey.

More contemporary works by Benedictine composers, which draw on the Church's traditional sources, are also represented on this disc, recorded especially for Aid to the Church in Need.
