Music from Midnight Mass at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

Sponsored by Aid to the Church in Need, this seasonal recording by the renowned Choir of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool, captures the reverential joy of Christ’s birth superbly.

Featuring a full programme of music for the Midnight Mass, organist Richard Lea and the choir herald the arrival of Our Saviour and Christmas Day, with works such as Lauridsen’s O magnum mysterium, J S Bach’s Chorale Prelude and excerpts from Malcolm’s Missa ad Praesepe, as well as some traditional favourites.
