Transport for priests and Sisters

Helping to bring spiritual aid to needy Christians
Many of the priests and Sisters Aid to the Church in Need helps serve Christian communities scattered over hundreds of miles.
These servants of God are willing to undertake exhausting and sometimes perilous journeys across difficult terrain to bring the sacraments, pastoral teaching, schooling and health care to the faithful. Without these visits God’s Word would rarely reach many cut-off Catholics.
That is why Aid to the Church in Need provides essential and effective transport including four-wheel-drive vehicles, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, outboard motors for boats and even donkeys – whatever is most appropriate to the terrain.
How can I help priests and Sisters reach out to their communities?

Helping a priest or Sister reach their far-flung Christian communities can cost as little as £60 for a bicycle.

Help raise funds to provide transport around the world
Would your parish or local school like to help provide a motorbike or car for a priest or Sister? For as little as £900 you can provide a motorbike – or a donkey! – while £2,000 will buy an outboard motor for a boat. If your fundraising plans are very ambitious, you might even like to fund a car for £6,000.
If you are taking part in a challenge event like a marathon or triathlon, why not raise money for our transport projects? Each step you take will help a priest or Sister on their journey to reach needy Christians.
