– Pope Benedict XVI

Middle East: Pope Benedict XVI's top priority

Prayer-Action for the Pope

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Prayer-Action for the Pope by pledging a spiritual gift. We are delighted to announce that we were able to present a special Commemorative Book personally to the Holy Father on the morning of Friday, 17th September. The book contained 7,224 names of the faithful who made a Gift of Faith for Pope Benedict XVI.

You can continue to support the Pope’s urgent priority for Aid to the Church in Need by making a gift to our projects in the Middle East.

Pope Benedict XVI has asked Aid to the Church in Need to make supporting Christians in the Middle East our top priority.

He told representatives of the charity: “Churches in the Middle East are threatened in their very existence... May God grant Aid to the Church in need strength to help wherever the need is greatest.”

Action for Christians in the ancient lands of Christ

Aid to the Church in Need is supporting a range of projects supporting Christians in the Middle East..

Your support for our projects will give Christians the hope and faith to keep the flame of Christianity alive in these ancient lands.
