Volunteering with Aid to the Church in Need

Aid to the Church in Need welcomes volunteers at our UK office in Sutton, Surrey, our Scottish regional office in Motherwell and at our Information Centre in Walsingham, Norfolk.

Even if you only have an hour or two to spare each week, you can help us make a difference to the lives of suffering Christians around the world.

Aid to the Church in Need has a Volunteer’s Arrangement document setting out the charity’s responsibilities to the volunteer, and theirs to us. We also adhere to an Equality and Diversity Statement and Policy.

Becoming an Aid to the Church in Need Parish Representative

Aid to the Church in Need is seeking volunteers throughout the UK to promote and encourage support for our work.

You can help us by distributing our reports, prayer cards, fundraising materials and catalogues. You may also like to help introduce our prayer priorities to your parish or support us through parish fundraising events.

We do not require a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure for our Parish Representatives, but we will usually ask for two references.

After a reasonable period, Aid to the Church in Need is happy to provide you with a reference confirming your role as a volunteer for your CV or as evidence of Church-related activity for school applications.
