Make an In Memoriam Gift to Aid to the Church in Need

“We cannot tell you what great joy it has given us to do something beautiful for Our Lady in memory of our daughter.
“Contributing to the cost of the shrine at Kei Besar in Indonesia has helped our family to carry our Cross... and it gave a final purpose to Anne’s life.
“We believe Anne is helping thousands of new friends at the far side of the globe to join her in honouring the Mother of God.”

– A family who helped to build a shrine to Our Lady in Indonesia, in memory of their daughter

Remembering a loved one with a gift to the suffering Church

Photo: Aid to the Church in NeedIf you would like to remember a departed friend or family member, or mark the anniversary of their passing, you might like to make an In Memoriam gift to Aid to the Church in Need.

You could also ask friends and family to make a donation to Aid to the Church in Need instead of sending flowers.

Your funeral director will be able to help you arrange this, or you might like to set up your own In Memoriam page on the Justgiving.com website.

All donations and Gift Aid will be passed on to Aid to the Church in Need and acknowledged in a sensitive and prayerful way.

How your gift can help persecuted and suffering Christians

Your In Memoriam gift can make a real difference to the lives of the millions of Christians Aid to the Church in Need helps.

We are happy to allocate your gift to an area of work of your choosing. There is a wide range of donation options available on this website, but if you have a more specific request, please do contact us.

Some benefactors have chosen to adopt one of Aid to the Church in Need's projects in memory of a loved one – for example, one family helped to build a chapel in Indonesia in memory of their daughter.

Find out more about adopting one of our projects on our Adoption Projects page.

Photo: Aid to the Church in NeedIf you choose to make a gift to Aid to the Church in Need in memory of a departed loved one, we will add the name of the person you wish to remember to our In Memoriam Book.

The In Memoriam Book is kept in the Lady Chapel in our office, watched over by a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, to whom the charity is dedicated.

We remember all our departed friends and benefactors each day at midday, when staff gather to pray the Angelus.

Each November, we hold an Annual Requiem Mass for Departed Benefactors, which you are very welcome to attend – you can find more details of this Mass on our Events Calendar.
