Collecting sponsorship

Here are some ways you can collect sponsorship money for your fundraiser.

Justgiving.com makes fundraising online for your sponsored event easy.

Aid to the Church in Need has a Justgiving account, which means that you will be able to set up your own fundraising page with details and photos of your event.

You can set your fundraising target and then watch the ‘thermometer’ rise as the donations come in. If your sposnors are able to sign up to Gift Aid, they can do that on Justgiving.com too.

Sponsorship form

You can download an Aid to the Church in Need sponsorship and Gift Aid declaration form, which you can use to collect sponsorship. To enable us to claim back tax through the Gift Aid scheme, please remember to send us your sponsorship forms when you send the money you have raised.

Donate directly to Aid to the Church in Need

You can ask your sponsors to donate directly to Aid to the Church in Need by giving online or by calling 020 8642 8668. Unfortunately, we cannot track the amount that has been donated to your particular event, but it does mean your sponsors can make their contribution quickly and directly, and can also sign up for Gift Aid at the same time.

Telling people about your challenge

Don’t forget to publicise your efforts – including your Justgiving.com webpage – by asking your friends and contacts to sponsor you. Why not add the details of your webpage to an email signature, so that it is included on every email you send?

Ask your parish priest if you can leave sponsorship forms at the back of the church, or put up posters with your Justgiving webpage on them. He may als oinclude your event in a parish newsletter.

And remember to add your event to Aid to the Church in Need’s Events Calendar!
