Delivery

Aid to the Church in Need charges postage on most of the products which are available to buy in our online shop. This page explains the postage rates you will be charged, and gives details of the different delivery options you can choose when you place your order.

The price you pay for postage covers the cost of delivery and packaging materials, and the administrative costs we incur in fulfilling orders for our products.

Please note that, unless stated, delivery times do not include the time we require to process your order prior to despatch. Usually we will despatch your goods within three working days of receiving your order.

Standard delivery rates

When you place an order for goods in our online shop, we will automatically calculate the standard delivery rate which you will need to pay. The postage charge you have to pay will depend on whether you have bought products that are subject to postage charges, and also on where in the world you have asked us to send your goods.

Our standard delivery rates are as follows:

Standard delivery method

If you choose standard delivery to an address In the UK, we will send your order to you by Royal Mail second class post. Royal Mail state that parcels sent by second class post are generally delivered within three-plus delivery days of the desptach date. Royal Mail do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.

If you choose standard delivery to an address outside the UK, we will send your order to you by Royal Mail standard Air Mail. Delivery times may vary considerably from country to country.

Items with free standard delivery in the UK

For some of the items we sell in our online shop, such as our cards, we will not charge you to deliver your goods by our standard delivery method. Where there is no postage on an item sent by our standard delivery method, we will tell you in the product description page.

If you buy an item for which we do not charge postage, we will automatically calculate that you do not have to pay any postage.

We can only apply free postage to orders made up entirely of items with free postage, and sent by our standard delivery method. If you choose to buy an item with a postage charge on it, we will charge you the standard delivery rate for the country where you ask us to send your order. So if you were to order five items with no postage charge and one item with a postage charge, you would have to pay postage at the standard delivery rate.

Free delivery is only available for items despatched by our standard delivery method. If you choose a delivery option other than our standard delivery method, you will have to pay the delivery rate for your chosen delivery method.

Free delivery is not available on any item being sent to an address outside the UK.

First class delivery rates

On request, we are able to despatch your order to an address in the UK by Royal Mail first class post. Royal Mail state that  parcels sent by first class post are generally delivered within one to two delivery days of the desptach date. Royal Mail do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.

Our first class delivery rate is £5.00.

All orders sent by first class delivery will be charged at this rate; none of our products are eligible for free first class delivery.

First class delivery is not available on any item being sent to an address outside the UK.

At present we can only offer first class delivery on orders placed by telephone. Please call 0845 241 6068 to place your order.

Express delivery rates

For orders being despatched to an address within the UK, we can offer an express delivery service by courier. If you choose this delivery method, we will send your goods by courier for delivery on the next working day after despatch. Usually we despatch all orders within three working days of receipt of your order.

Our express delivery rate is £9.00

All orders sent by express delivery will be charged at this rate; none of our products are eligible for free express delivery.

Express delivery is not available on any item being sent to an address outside the UK.
